Hi there, stranger!

Play of the week: A right handed wing brings the puck down the right side of the ice into the offensive zone. The left wing is breaking to the net and the center stays high. As the right wing endures pressure , the D ever so obligingly collapses as the wing prepares to go take the puck behind the net, and the goalie cheats to the far side to prevent the wrap-around, the quick little sheister throws the puck short side to the center, who's crept down to the crease and taps it in a wide open net.
Gorgeous. How can you argue with that?

In other news, how did you learn your hockey sense? Was it a good coach? Tireless analysis of pro films? Just athletic ability to read the ice? Hockey is a mental game. A game of small spaces. A game of individual and team effort. Having skills are important. Solid, balanced skating is key. But what is the game without the game? Just a sheet of ice and some jerks that look good skating on it. Taking the time to learn the game is quintessential.
